Boston Spa Gas Works was founded in 1865, at the bottom of a bumpy cart track. The Gas Works has changed, but the track hasn't. It's never been much of a tourist destination, until now!
This Geocache is accessed on foot, and is on the public right of way that goes down Wharfeside, or Gasworks Lane as it's still known on Google Maps. Please don't drive down the lane, it's a private drive and you might get stuck at the bottom.
Please don't go through any gates, or search near the two semi-detached houses near the location of the cache.
This is a family friendly Geocache with lots of room for treasure!

*** A couple of logs have worried about the proximity of the cache to Oldworks House. (The house at the bottom of Wharfeside). Please don't worry. The cache is on the cache owner's land, and on a public right of way. Neighbours have been fully briefed and happy. We enjoy 'catching' the occasional Geocacher and if you're spotted by small person you'll have made their day :) The positioning of the cache is very deliberate. The cache is a family orientated cache and quite easy to find, so you won't need to do too much hunting around. That said usual rules re watching out for muggles apply :)***
