Geocache Description:

Pickrell was laid out in 1884 when the railroad was extended to that point. It was named for William Pickrell, one of the original owners of the town site. Pickrell was incorporated as a village in 1913.

Homestead Trail stretches from just south of Lincoln all the way down to Beatrice. It helps make up a chain of trails from Marysville, KS all the way up through Lincoln, some day it'll be connected all the way to Omaha.
