Rithet's bog is a 38 hectare Nature Sanctuary that was donated to the people of Saanich in 1994. It is the last of seven large bogs on the Saanich Peninsula. Its primary purpose is to provide habitat for native plants and animals. Dogs are permitted but must be on leash. Bicycles are not to be ridden in the park. When we placed the cache, someone had left a pail of bird seed at the start of the trail to feed the ducks. Do not feed the ducks bread and please do not pick the wildflowers. To get the final coordinates enjoy the 3km walk around the bog on the graveled perimeter trail.
