Welcome to Kent Island.
Since the actual finds in this series are easy-peasy, I’m having you do a little work to get the real coordinates.
Cache is not at the listed coordinates. You must solve the puzzle.
The Queen Anne’s Railroad was a railroad that ran between Love Point, Maryland on Kent Island to Lewes, Delaware, with connections to Baltimore via ferry across the Chesapeake Bay. The original section was completed in 1897 with a western most destination of Queenstown, MD. The extension to Love Point was completed later. The railroad improved the economy. The railroad eventually became the property of the Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia Railroad Company, which merged with the Baltimore, Chesapeake, and Atlantic Railroad in 1923 to become the Baltimore and Eastern Railroad in 1928. The introduction of buses and the construction of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge resulted in the end of train service. Much of the railroad right of way was made into the Cross Island Trail used today.
The original Love Point train station was moved to the above listed coordinates and renovated. You can visit it in Stevensville on the first Saturday of the month from April to November from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
