Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on the Little Llagas Creek Trail in Calero County Park, but it's more easily accessed from Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve. If you're heading up Little Llagas Creek, you're getting close to the top, but it's still steep enough to appreciate rest stops. This beautiful manzanita tree next to the trail provides a shady little alcove for a rest, has no poison oak (at the time the cache was hidden,) and fits conveniently between the two neighboring caches. Perfect!

You're looking for a small plastic jar that some of the local cachers are probably sick of seeing by this point! You have to duck under the manzanita canopy to reach it, but from there you can reach it without ducking under any more branches. Of course, you can if you'd like to. The cache is a fairly short hike from the Cañada del Oro side, or a longer one if you come up from the Calero side.

Cañada del Oro hours vary based on the time of year. Winter hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm. Summer hours are 6:00am to sunset. Calero trail hours are sunrise to sunset year-round. Happy hunting!
