This new series highlights the best hikes around the world, trails that we would someday like to hike on and enjoy. There are an assortment of caches along the Elgin trail commemorating these other trails.
Garibaldi Provincial Park in British Columbia offers plenty of lakes and scenic vistas and numerous beautiful hikes. The longest trail at this attractive spot nestled in the Coast Mountains is the hike from the Cheakamus Lake parking lot to the Garibaldi Lake parking lot via Helm Creek. The route covers 25 km and is best attempted over two days, breaking the trip at the Helm Creek campground. This hike is rated one of the best overnight hikes in Canada.
