February 29th is a special day that only comes around once every four years. Why does leap day exist? A typical year consists of 365 days. But, it actually takes ~365.25 days for Earth to complete an orbit around the Sun. We must compensate for this quarter day by adding an extra day to the calendar every four years, which is how you end up with February 29th.
With such an exclusive day, why not get out there and collect it for your calendar! Please place the geocache back where you found it and use stealth while making the grab. Parking on the trail is prohibited. Please find an appropriate place to park and use the trail to navigate to ground zero.
