Out doing cache maintenance along the Des Plaines River Trail on this gloriously warm day (74 degrees in February?). No matter that the day ended with tornado sirens blaring, we still had a nice day before that, at least!
We've lost every cache we've placed along this stretch of the trail due to LCFPD's land management practices (which are good for the land, but tough on geocaches), but found a location today that has survived the latest controlled burn, which makes us think/hope that maybe a cache placed here will last a bit longer. We'll see.......
You're looking for a cammoed plastic vial about 3" long and about 1/2" diameter.
PLEASE replace the natural camo used to hide this one when you find it. And enjoy the scenery here. Out on our bikes last fall, as we rode past here, we encountered a 12-point buck and a bald eagle, and today, geese, mallard ducks, a seagull, and robins!
