Geocache Description:

Cache #187

The Federation Council is a local government area located in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. This area was formed in 2016 from the merger of the Corowa Shire with its neighbouring Urana Shire. These caches are some random additions to encourage more visitors to this part of the world.

Daysdale Cemetery is a quiet resting place tucked away behind the abandoned football oval. It took me a couple of times to locate it and despite there sometimes being a closed gate on the road in this is a public road with access to the cemetery. Photos on this website (Daysdale Cemetery) shows how different the conditions can be depending on rain - when I placed the cache there was plenty of grass.

This cache will require you visit three graves in the cemetery and answer a few questions

Waypoint 1 - Mary Ann Rose

Mary died in 193A

E = the month of the year she passed away

She was F2 years of age

Waypoint 2 - Edward Hopkins

Edward was struck by lightning on December 31, 19B6

He was GH years of age

Waypoint 3 - Sarah and George Hall

George died on the 2Cth Sept 192D

The final cache can be found at S 35 3A.BCD E 146 1E.FGH

The cache is a short walk away within the fenced area. Snakes might be an issue given this grassy location. Stock may be present in the nearby paddocks so please leave gates as you find them when driving in. There is a camping area next to the old football ground on the track in, and there are toilet facilities there as well.

Enjoy!
