The Shroom Hunt series will acquaint you with some of the most common mushrooms found in northern Minnesota. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to ID this mushroom to genus using the photos and text provided.

In many cases you might find the actual mushrooms along this trail. If you happen to find morels, please PM me.

The classic 'toadstool' from Alice in Wonderland! The European varieties are red, our US ones have a yellow cap with white scales. There is a reason there were so many distortions of reality in Wonderland.
