You did it! You made it to the end of the series. LakeBum and I stopped nearby for lunch, and decided this was the perfect place to hide the final cache. At the time, I thought there were two more to hide before the finale, but I had numbered my temporary caches incorrectly and this was it! You will leave the trail at the top of this ridge, and head along mostly level terrain. Here you will find a special ammo can, signed during the nCo 10 year anniversary event by many of the current members of this great group of cachers. The can is filled with swag and a small Signal the Frog. I meant to add several travel bugs, but forgot them in the truck, and I wasn't ready to hike back out here to bring them.
After logging this cache, you will retrace your steps to the trail junction between 16 and 17, then head back down to return to parking.
If you completed this series in one day, WELL DONE! You will have hiked an estimated 9 1/2 miles, which is certainly doable in one day. I hope you have enjoyed the journey as much I enjoyed hiding these caches. Thanks to LakeBum for coming along for the second day of hiding. It is good having someone to comisserate with when the trail gets steep.
