Fun Fact: 8th President of the United States, Martin Van Buren was the only President in U.S. history to speak English as second language. Although he was born in Kinderhook, NY, he did not speak English as his first (native) language. Kinderhook, New York, where most residents, including the Van Buren family, were of Dutch descent and spoke Dutch as their primary language.
