An dieser Stelle befand sich früher der Schulgarten der 1. Polytechnischen Oberschule (POS) "Friedrich Engels". Kleine Neuhäuser lernten hier den richtigen Umgang mit Hacke, Spaten und Schubkarre, als auch den Unterschied zwischen Gemüse und Unkraut.
Während des Schuljahres 1989/1990 handelte sich der Owner, hier an dieser Stelle, während des Unterrichts eine Note 5 in Betragen ein. (Für die Jüngeren unter uns, das war damals die schlechteste, mögliche Note.) Während des Jätens zog ich ein dickes, fettes Büschel Unkraut aus dem Boden. Weil ich aber zu faul war zum Eimer zu laufen, und meine Kumpels beeindrucken wollte, warf ich das Bündel nach dem Eimer. Es flog nahezu perfekt, prallte dann aber vom Rand ab und der Eimer fiel scheppernd um. Unsere Klassenlehrerin Frau G. war wenig begeistert von meiner Darbietung und versah mich ohne Umschweife mit meiner ersten, und einzigen, Note 5 im "Fach" Betragen.

Mit der Umstellung der Lehrpläne nach der deutschen Wiedervereinigung im Jahr 1990 entfiel das Fach "Schulgarten" und der Garten verwaiste. Wenig später wurde der Garten eingeebnet und die heute hier anzufindende, dekorative Wiese angelegt.
Dieser Cache soll an einen verschwundenen Teil Neuhäuser Schulgeschichte erinnern. Ich bin mir sicher, dass viele der älteren Neuhäuser Cacher hier ebenso gegärtnert haben wie ich, und der Cache eine schöne Gelegenheit ist sich an diesen Teil der Kindheit zu erinnern.
Behandelt die Dose bitte vorsichtig, und hängt sie am Ende wieder dorthin, wo ihr sie hergeholt habt. Ich hoffe sie bleibt in ihrer Form lange erhalten und erfreut kleine und große Geocacher, sowie Gartenfreunde allen Alters.
The school garden of the 1st Polytechnic Secondary School (POS) “Friedrich Engels” used to be on this site. Young Neuhäuser children learned how to use hoes, spades and wheelbarrows correctly here, as well as the difference between vegetables and weeds.
During the 1989/1990 school year, the owner here earned a grade 5 in behavior during class. (For the younger ones among us, that was the worst possible grade back then.) While weeding, I pulled a big, fat clump of weeds out of the ground. But because I was too lazy to walk to the bucket and wanted to impress my buddies, I threw the bundle at the bucket. It flew almost perfectly, but then bounced off the edge and the bucket fell over with a clatter. Our class teacher, Mrs. G., was less than thrilled with my performance and promptly gave me my first, and only, grade 5 in “subject” behavior.

When the curriculum was changed after German reunification in 1990, the subject “school garden” was dropped and the garden was abandoned. A short time later, the garden was leveled and the decorative meadow that can be found here today was laid out.
This cache is a reminder of a part of Neuhausen's school history that has disappeared. I'm sure that many of the older Neuhäuser cachers gardened here just like me, and the cache is a nice opportunity to remember this part of their childhood.
Please handle the container with care and put it back where you got it at the end. I hope it will remain in its original form for a long time and will delight young and old geocachers and gardening enthusiasts of all ages.
Na tomto místě se dříve nacházela školní zahrada 1. polytechnické střední školy (POS) „Friedrich Engels“. Malé děti z rodu Neuhäuser se zde učily správně používat motyky, rýče a trakaře a také rozdíl mezi zeleninou a plevelem.
Během školního roku 1989/1990 dostal majitel z chování ve třídě známku 5. (Pro ty mladší z nás to tehdy byla nejhorší možná známka.) Při pletí jsem vytáhl ze země velký, tlustý trs plevele. Ale protože jsem byl příliš líný na to, abych šel k kýblu, a chtěl jsem udělat dojem na kamarády, hodil jsem po něm svazek. Letěl téměř dokonale, ale pak se odrazil od okraje a kýbl se s rachotem převrátil. Naše třídní učitelka, paní G., nebyla z mého výkonu nadšená a okamžitě mi dala první a jedinou známku 5 z „předmětového“ chování.

Když se po znovusjednocení Německa v roce 1990 změnily učební osnovy, předmět „školní zahrada“ byl zrušen a zahrada byla opuštěna. Krátce nato byla zahrada srovnána se zemí a byla zde vytyčena okrasná louka, kterou zde najdete dodnes.
Tato keš je připomínkou části historie Neuhausenské školy, která zanikla. Jsem si jistý, že mnoho starších Neuhäuserových kešer zde zahradničilo stejně jako já, a keš je skvělou příležitostí si tuto část jejich dětství připomenout.
S nádobou prosím zacházejte opatrně a na konci ji vraťte tam, odkud jste ji dostali. Doufám, že vám dlouho vydrží v původní podobě a bude těšit mladé i staré geocachery a zahradnické nadšence všech věkových kategorií.
