This is Marshal swamp. It's a nice trail, it's twisty and turning and about 2.5 miles one way. There's boardwalks here and there are there is always the potential to get muddy and swampy. Depending on recent rainfall, you may need wading boots in some areas. There always seem to be mosquitos. This is wild Florida, so be careful where you put your hands and come prepared with proper clothing, insect repellent, plenty of water, and anything else you may need for the hike. You may see all different kinds of Florida wildlife out here, including bears, so keep that in mind as well. There are parking areas at both ends of this trail, so if you don't want to have to turn around and hike back another 2.5 miles to your vehicle, we suggest you stage a car at each end.
Also, this area and trail are ONLY OPEN DAWN TIL DUSK, so plan your hike accordingly so you have plenty of time before it gets dark.
