We were hiking today to get another cache up here, and I decided to bring one along for placing to give everyone another reason to get outside and hike! You are looking for a peanut butter container camo'd to the surroundings.
We parked along Route 325 at the big AT parking lot, then followed the AT for less than 0.3 miles to the intersection with the red-blazed Henry Knauber Trail, then up, up UP and away. Once at the top of the mountain, the poorly blazed Blue Trail heading westward will lead you to the cache. After the tower, we continued west to the pink trail, then back down to the gameland road and back to parking. If you choose this route, expect a little over 5 miles and 1300+ feet of elevation. OBVIOUSLY, bring plenty of water and wear orange during hunting season.
