Geocache Description:

The path you are currently enjoying was once a railroad. Owned by the Minneapolis and Saint Louis Railroad it was used as a route between Merriam, MN and Albert Lea, MN. Merriam, MN is now an extinct town and was located between Jordan and Shakopee.

In 1984 the rail line was abandoned while under ownership of the Chicago & North Western Railway. Thankfully to us who enjoy the outdoors, the rail line was concerted to a multi-use paved trail. Walking, running, biking, skating, and any other forms of non-motorized use is popular here.

Stealth IS required, and please place the cache back how you found it.
