Suzan Daniel (1918 - 2007) était une militante belge lesbienne à l'origine du premier groupe homosexuel de Belgique.
Suzan Daniel est la première femme critique de cinéma belge. Elle baigne dans l'environnement homosexuel bruxellois des années 1930, dont elle devient progressivement une leader.
En 1953, elle assiste au Comité international pour l'égalité sexuelle qui se déroule à Amsterdam, qui l'incite à fonder le Centre culturel de Belgique (CCB), premier groupe homosexuel de Belgique, dédié non pas au militantisme politique mais aux rencontres et aux activités culturelles à destination des personnes homosexuelles. Elle lance ainsi le mouvement homosexuel en Belgique. Seule femme parmi les personnes de la direction, elle quitte cependant l'association l'année suivant sa création en raison du sexisme qu'elle y vit, et elle se retire du milieu LGBT, tombant ensuite dans l'oubli. La même année, en 1954, le CCB est renommé Centre de loisirs et culture par les hommes restants, et devient progressivement à majorité francophone et masculine.
En 1996, un fonds d'archive homosexuel est créé et nommé en son hommage.
En 2019, la nouvelle passerelle passant au dessus du canal de Willebroeck à Bruxelles, permettant de relier Tour et Taxis à la gare du Nord, est nommée pont Suzan Daniel en son honneur.

Suzan Daniel (1918 – 2007) was a Belgian lesbian activist who founded the first homosexual group in Belgium.
Suzan Daniel was the first female Belgian film critic. She was immersed in the Brussels homosexual environment of the 1930s, of which she gradually became a leader.
In 1953, she attended the International Committee for Sexual Equality which took place in Amsterdam, which encouraged her to found the Cultural Center of Belgium (CCB), the first homosexual group in Belgium, dedicated not to political activism but to meetings and cultural activities for homosexual people. She thus launched the homosexual movement in Belgium. The only woman among the management, she however left the association the year following its creation due to the sexism she experienced there, and she withdrew from the LGBT environment, subsequently falling into obscurity. The same year, in 1954, the CCB was renamed the Leisure and Culture Center by the remaining men, and gradually became predominantly French-speaking and male.
In 1996, a homosexual archive was created and named in her honor.
In 2019, the new footbridge passing over the Willebroeck canal in Brussels, connecting Tour et Taxis to the Gare du Nord, was named the Suzan Daniel bridge in her honor.
