A população do Porto Santo, desde sempre demostrou uma grande devoção à igreja católica. Muito por conta das imensas dificuldades vividas nesta ilha ao longo dos séculos. Prova deste devoto, está nas várias capelas e igrejas espalhadas pela ilha, que podemos considerar serem muitas para o tamanho e a população da ilha.
The population of Porto Santo has always shown great devotion to the Catholic church. Much due to the immense difficulties experienced on this island over the centuries. Esta multi-cache, propõem um passeio, consideravelmente grande, pelas várias igrejas e capelas da Ilha do Porto Santo. Não podemos dizer que é uma simples multi-cache, devido à distância e ao tempo que poderá demorar a ser realizada. Contudo, as questões são simples e acessíveis à maioria.
No total, são 6 as igrejas e capelas englobadas nesta multi-cache. Ficou apenas de fora uma igreja, sendo esta, a igreja nova do cemitério do Porto Santo (Cemitério de Santa Catarina). De qualquer forma, a igreja antiga, também dentro do cemitério está georreferenciada. Pedimos atenção à etapa 3, pois esta encontra-se dentro do cemitério e está sujeita a um horário que é cumprido escrupulosamente. Está aberto todos os dias das 9h às 17h.
This multi-cache offers a considerably long tour of the various churches and chapels on Porto Santo Island. We cannot say that it is a simple multi-cache, due to the distance and time it may take to carry out. However, the questions are simple and accessible to most.
In total, there are 6 churches and chapels included in this multi-cache. Only one church was left out, this being the new church in the Porto Santo cemetery (Cemitério de Santa Catarina). In any case, the old church, also within the cemetery, is georeferenced.
We ask that you pay attention to stage 3, as this is located within the cemetery and is subject to a timetable that is scrupulously followed. It is open every day from 9am to 5pm.
