The Naval Radio Station was all that remained of a small complex built during World War II to service a Naval Radio Station on the crest of the highest hill due west of Thomson Lake (Jilbup). The house was constructed of fibro and weatherboard. It was raised on stumps and had an enclosed front porch.
The Naval Officer in charge of the Radio Station was Petty Officer Thomas.
The place was demolished in 2001 after owners The Water Corporation deemed it 'unsafe' and a plaque to acknowledge the significance of the site was erected in a limestone seat.
