Geocache Description:

08 April 2024, 13:45 - 14:30

Come "cache" the Great North American Eclipse with your fellow cachers.

We will be meeting at Rosedale Park in Mercer Meadows.

There are big open areas here so hopefully viewing will be good as well as the weather.

I have scheduled the event for 45 minutes, but there is a good chance we will be staying longer.

The eclipse is supposed to start around 2 pm in the Mercer County area with the most coverage happening around 3:25 pm and then finishing up at around 4:36 pm.  It is predicted that we will have about 87-90% totality in the Mercer county area.

Eclipse glasses for viewing the solar eclipse will NOT be provided, but it is highly recommended if you want to view the eclipse safely you may want to get a pair of the glasses, but they are not required to attend the event.

Bring a chair or a blanket and some snacks and enjoy the eclipse!

For those wishing to cache, there are plenty of caches in the Mercer Meadows park and local area.

There is plenty of parking available at the event site.
