Geocache Description:

In December 2017, the Benbrook City Council voted to initiate design of a single-lane, gated, emergency access-only bridge over the Clear Fork Trinity River.  The bridge would link the I-20 service road to Bellaire Boulevard, to improve emergency response times to the portion of Benbrook that lies east of the river.

Many Fort Worth residents opposed the bridge, concerned about increase in traffic in this residential area if the bridge were ever opened to the general public.  To voice their opposition, "NO BRIDGE NO WAY" signs were displayed by many in the area.

Eventually, the bridge was built, and completed in 2022, as a single-lane bridge to accommodate emergency vehicles only and no access for bikes or pedestrians.

This cache is located within viewing distance of the bridge.  It is a camo-covered medium-sized container with room for trackables and small trading items.  FTF may claim a mini flashlight.  Please be careful of traffic; likely it is best to approach this on bike using the adjacent bike trail.  Extensive bushwhacking is not needed, but beware of thorns and poison ivy.

Congratulations to ZEKROM2419 on FTF!
