Geocache Description:

This Cache is located at the office of the Longhorn Council BSA. It is not hard to find but bieng "right up front" you might need to pick your moment to hunt this cache as observers might be about.

This Cache is part of a Series of Caches in Longhonr Council. Each is named for a point of the Scout Law or one of the Ranks achieved by Scouts within the program.

Lord Baden-Powell the founder of the Scouting Movement listed Trusworthy as the first point of the Scout Law and took it very seriously. Far more seriously than many today would dare press. In 1908 He wrote,

  1. A SCOUT'S HONOUR IS TO BE TRUSTED. If a scout says "On my honour it is so," that means it is so, just as if he had taken a most solemn oath. Similarly, if a scout officer says to a scout, "I trust you on your honour to do this," the Scout is bound to carry out the order to the very best of his ability, and to let nothing interfere with his doing so. If a scout were to break his honour by telling a lie, or by not carrying out an order exactly when trusted on his honour to do so, he would cease to be a scout, and must hand over his scout badge and never be allowed to wear it again.

In press and films the words "Scouts Honor" has been used as sa statement of telling the absolute truth, We trust that each of you finding this cache will agree that in our world today Trustworthyness and a Code of Honor are needed now, more than ever.
