Leap Day 2024 was a wonderful adventure. Multiple events in multiple counties. Caches in various places. A cool letterbox. A virtual. And I had a stamp and a personal sign in sheet for the people I met up with that day. I promised a mystery. But this mystery has my 29 stamp in it. So this is a letterbox hybrid. The caching world needs more letterboxes.
This is my personal sign-in page from that day. It is also in the photo gallery.
The caches and events I attended are listed in order of logging at upper right.
Posted coordinates are for parking. There is no container here. The ammo can (yes, really, thank you, polecat42) is in a tall stump in the gamelands. Wear orange when needed. It's sort of bushwacking through mountain laurel but you can get closer on a trail or walking somewhat near the road. It's pretty close to parking, but there may be some squishy water hazards.
The ammo can is at N 40 14.ABC W 76 21.DEF where
A is the number of letters in the name of the dog that had its own geocaching account name signed on the paper (hint: below PaHawkeye)
B is the number of dog-related drawings (hint: also the number of smile faces)
C is the number of dogs referenced (hint: dog drawings plus GeoJosey)
D is number of caches/events I found MINUS the number of 29s I stamped on the paper
E is the sum of the digits in the GC-code of the oldest cache I found that day (hint: GC-codes are created in sequential order)
F is the sum of the digits in the year
A + B + C + D + E + F = 33
