This greenbelt trail is used by many residents (and their dog companions) that live in this neighborhood. For now, the trail ends at this spot, but with the new developments going in, I am hoping the trail will extend further south and connect with other walking trails. I was introduced to geocaching by Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts of America) and our troop has done some cache hunts at nearby park. The Scouts BSA program has a merit badge focused around the sport of geocaching. Some regions have "Trail to Eagle" collection of caches which highlight the local Eagle Scout projects. Hopefully one day I will be able to plant a cache at my (future) Eagle Scout project location, but for now have fun with this cache.
One of fundraising activities that scouts do to earn money towards going to summer / winter camps or to fund high adventure activities is selling popcorn. The popcorn is branded "Trail's end" and this sounded like a proper name for this location.
