Over the course of the last ten years, I've driven by this spot many times. It wasn't until recently that I decided to pull over one morning to watch the sunrise. Normally, I hurry passed, between dropping my boys off at school and work. I try to stop a bit more often now.
Once a small semi-residential stretch, the city has reclaimed a chunk of it because of flooding. Occasionally, through Adult Ed, they'll hold classes at this location if you're curious about what grows here.
Watch your step. The ground can be a bit uneven in spots. Should be somewhat winter friendly depending on winter accumulation.
