Geocache Description:

I've been wanting to put a cache here for a long time. Today was the day!

At one time the Holy Family Church was considered to be in the same parish as the large St. Joseph Church in West Branch so both were called St. Joseph, however the Holy Family Cemetery has not gone by the name "St. Joseph" for many, many years.
Holy Family was also sometimes referred to as Campbell's Corners or Klacking Creek.

At the entrance to the cemetery, you will see a plaque. It reads: This is the site of the first Roman Catholic mass said in this area. In the private home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm Mier by Fr. Francis X Shulak. A Jesuit missionary in the year 1879 A.D. This plaque is donated in memory of Albert & Mae Brindley by their children.

The cache is just a short distance away. Please respect the area and all of the cemetery rules, including NO night caching. You will have to bring a pen to sign the log. There are small trade items, if you take something, leave something. If cache is on the ground, please put back up. Happy Caching!
