Geocache Description:

24 April 2024, 18:00 - 19:00

The 2024 GCCO TB Race will start at the Spring Fling Event GCAMXPB on 20th April BUT it is not too late to enter. Weather permitting we will meet outside Starbucks at 2318 17th Ave (Cnr of 17th and Hover) in Longmont, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday 24th April. The organizer is not responsible for any purchases made while here.

You do not have to participate in the TB Race to attend the event. All are welcome.

4 Prizes for 2024 will be

- TB which has the most miles

- TB which visits the most states

- TB which is carried by the most geocachers

- Mystery prize

The race will end October 1st 2024, and the winners announced during the GCCO Chili event later that month.

Rules are listed below...

1. You may enter any two types of trackables you wish per account. Travel bugs, coins, or TB codes on anything are eligible. Anyone with a Geocaching account is eligible to participate. You will activate and own your own trackable. Have fun creating their page.

2. Your trackable must have zero miles on April 20th, 2024 and no back logging is allowed. You may enter the race at anytime during that week until April 28th so if you miss the April 20th start, you can still join!!! Your TB must start in a Colorado geocache or at a Colorado Event.

3. You may not move your own or your immediate family member's trackables. You may move any other racer's trackables.

4. You may not mail or virtual move your trackable. If you racer gets dropped or dipped into a Locationless cache, you will need to delete those logs. The trackable must be moved in the possession of a Geocacher at all times. That means you cannot give it to your muggle relatives or friends to take it on vacation with them. They will have to make a Geocaching account!

5. Improperly dipped trackables will be requested to have their logs fixed by the owner. This can happen if people do not log their finds in order, or if a TB is dipped into a challenge with has been previously signed, and now the carrier qualifies for. We will notify you if we are made aware of this. Failure to fix the issue can result in disqualification.

6. No proxy re-entries are allowed. If any of your original entries go missing, then their race is finished. As a result, all entries must have a photo uploaded of the TB as it will appear before the start of the race. Photos of your TB with the trackable code must be submitted to GCCO (geocachingcolo@gmail.com) to be eligible for the race.

7. There are no size or tagging requirements on your physical trackable. It would be helpful to mention that your trackable is in this race and include a link to this cache on your trackable page description. However, there are no trackable page requirements and we leave that up to you.

Come with you trackable activated and ready to go. You can drop it in the event, and another Geocacher can then begin its journey.

Do not forget this is supposed to be a fun and light hearted competition. Anyone not playing by the rules will simply be removed. Please reach out to me if you have any questions! Also, I do have limited amount of GCCO racer tags available for purchase for $6.00 if you want to enter and need a trackable code.
