Petalfern the gnome prided herself on her collection of four pebbles. These weren't your ordinary pebbles – they defied the laws of physics, bobbing gently in mid-air inches from her workbench as if they were in zero-gravity. Sometimes a pebble might appear to be multiple pebbles. On a sunny morning, while Petalfern was meticulously polishing a particularly sparkly pebble, a gust of wind swept through her workshop, sending the entire collection flying. They scattered in all directions. The pebbles even whizzed past three grumpy toads sunning themselves!
Five more bounced off a gossiping spiderweb, and six zipped through the air like tiny meteorites. Petalfern spent the rest of the day chasing her wayward pebbles, finally managing to put them back into their designated floating zone. Petalfern sighed tiredly, vowing to invest in some two gnome-sized lassos for future windy days.
