YEP, We're back!
The Chermside Library function rooms.
I can't believe it will be 3 months since our last meeting here. So much has happened and some huge events. Some of us got to share in all the events and both megas, while some got to enjoy the fun activities. Not to brag, but it was a lot of fun, no it was Fantastic.
Adeliade; for a LEAP YEAR DAY Mega Event it was still a Huge event and with plenty happening around the place. People were coming and going and on missions to get caches with types and sizes and attributes and, OH MY just everything. It was interesting to see the strategic game play of people and/or their groups.
Then came Canberra; a 4 day event that was so big, it started 4 days early, gees. It was so busy with things going on everyday and even the days leading up to the official event days. It was truely a MEGA EVENT and a credit to the organisers for pulling off a huge mega event. It seemed to run smoothly.
But now it is time to see what has been going on in our little pond and take care of our fantastic group of local cachers. It would be nice to hear of what our local cachers have been up to. I saw some have gone overseas and some have been busy locally, all chasing particular caches and will have a story to tell.
One thing I missed out on at both events was the pathtag swap. If you have tags and you would like to swap, bring em along, we can have our own little swap night.
* There will be a few gadget caches for people to play with and there could even be a surprise or two if plans fall into place.*
There will be some popcorn available again and with no set agenda, it is just a night to sit and chat with everyone. So grab a chair, grab a hand full of popcorn and lets chat caching.
I would like to let you know of a few changes to the event.
- Our booking time is 6.30pm - 8.30pm and you can come and go during that time as you please.
- There is a booking prior to ours in the same room so no need to arrive any earlier than 6.15pm.
- There is now a key pad entry system that allows us into the room from the front door and the hallway doors.
- If the doors are locked a code of 2983 will get you in. Just punch in the code and press the tick button afterwards. If you still have issues please call me.
- The kitchenette is still available and I believe the hot water bolier has just been replaced.
Lastly, If anyone would like to host a night, chat about a recent trip and use the projector, or has an idea to a fun night, please let me know and lets see what we can do.
