From GZ looking towards the lake you will see an island. In 2018 and 2019 this island was the scene of a hive of activity over 3 weekends. Cachers from the Manawatū and Wellington were transported to the island for CITO events where we cleared the island of scrub and then planted native plants. Today it looks so different and more habitable for the wildlife of the area.
I was only able to attend 2 of the 3 events and had a great time getting there as well as working and enjoying the company of other cachers. I enjoy seeing how it is changing every time I pass by.
