The Dunk River Trail is a scenic, rolling, 5-km reciprocal trail along the West side of a popular Island fishing river. This trail has been home to a number of caches over the years, most recently Shellie13/Kachenator's “Bird Series”. Since the Kachenator has moved off-Island, the Bootecacher Team has agreed to replace & extend his series with a new series — the Dunk River Ramble. All containers are small & winter-friendly.
This cache is on a short extension of the trail (1-km return) on the East side of the river starting at the Walls Road bridge. Walls Road is not maintained and will be muddy & rutted in the spring & after rain. It is drivable for most vehicles from the Newton Road end.
The trail may be buggy in the spring & summer, but is wonderful in the fall & is also a nice snowshoe during the winter. Stealth may be required during fishing season.
