Welcome to American Gothic - Horror/Sci-Fi Vol. 9 - Candyman.

This cache is inspired by the popular Horror Film series Candyman starring Tony Todd which was based upon a short story called "The Forbidden" from Author and Film-Maker Clive Barker's Books of Blood.

Daniel Robitaille was an african-american son of a painter and former slave from days long past who was punished for falling in love with the daughter of a plantation owner. A lynch mob cut off his right hand and covered him in honey to cause multiple bee stings which lead to his death.

Years later, a subdivision was built on top of the former plantation land where Daniel had been unceremoniously buried in an unmarked grave. Strange occurences, missing people, and a few unsolved murders eventually led to the creation of an Urban Legend known as Candyman. Could it be the restless spirit of Daniel Robitaille? ...or something else entirely?

The story goes that, if you want to know more, you need only to stand alone in front of a mirror and repeat the name "Candyman" five times and he will appear to you.

There is, however, another potential way to contact the Candyman.

Solve this puzzle, go to the GZ, and you never know who or what you may find.
