Ever heard of Leg-in-a-Boot Square? This square is one of Vancouver's hidden gems, and we wanted to share it with the geocaching community.
History behind the name: Leg-in-a-boot
According to the tale, in July 1887, a knee-high boot was discovered along the muddy shores of southern False Creek at that time. At the time, Vancouver had a higher population of trees than people with a population of around 1,000 people. Perplexed by the find, the police opted not to invest effort in locating the owner. Instead, they impaled the leg on a pike and displayed it outside the precinct office, hoping its owner might reclaim it. Predictably, nobody came forward, and the mystery of the leg remained unsolved.
The Square
There are quite a few picnic tables under some umbrellas in the square, bring a snack and enjoy the view of the seawall after finding the cache! There are also some restaurants up the seawall and a cafe in the square. Check them out! Be respectful if you do come at night as there are muggles living nearby!

The square can be a high muggle zone so be cautious and stealthy.
