Location: A 3km long, 6-lane north-south prefectural road stretching from Kuramae in Taito-ku, Tokyo to Minowa, of which Kokusai-dori is part.
History: Kokusai-dori was named after the former location of the Asakusa International Theater. This theater was the largest theater in the Orient, with a capacity of 5,000 people, and hosted performances by the Shochiku Revue Company and Misora Hibari.
Shopping Street: Asakusa Kokusai-dori is lined with many shops, restaurants, and shopping areas. In particular, there is a 100m long one-sided shopping street that stretches from Asakusa Kaminarimon-dori to the south side of ROX.
