Geocache Description:

The Forest

Conway Robinson State Forest is open from 7 am to 7 pm - No Night Caching! A permit is not required for hiking, walking, or seeking this cache. Some activities, such as biking and horseback riding, require one.

The Trail

This hike passes through an area of the forest that I call Skull Hollow. Take the Yellow Trail northward. As you approach the waypoint you will cross a metal drain pipe under the trail. Take the path on the left here and hike westward into the forest. Using wildlife trails, hike near the stream bed until you are close to the geocache. Since you will be traveling along a seasonal stream, be alert for wildlife, both for safety and enjoyment. When you are close to the catch, move northward following open areas to avoid undergrowth and briars.

The Cache

I found a large deer skull nearby; thus the name. The cache is at eye height and contains some swag that I found in a nearby abandoned geocache as well as some new swag, a logbook, pencil and a trackable for the first-to-find.
