Greetings from your local St. Louis County Park Ranger!!
We all love the County Parks and all the caches they have for us, so it's time to give back a little bit. Come on out to Simpson Park for a lake/lakeside clean-up! Trash is always floating into the lake with every high water event and it needs to be found and removed. To make this a little easier, I will be bringing a rack of 8 canoes that folks can take out on the water to help get that annoying trash that is just out of reach from the shoreline. If you have your own canoe or kayak, feel free to bring that as well and we'll make it a party! If you aren't into canoeing, just take a walk along the shoreline or into the woods to search for that elusive trash that likes to hide.
Make sure to bring gloves and trash picker-uppers - I will be providing trash bags, canoes, paddles and lifevests (everyone in a County canoe will be required to wear a lifevest).
