Let's gather within the event timeframe at the posted coordinates and prepare for... a night hike! Come prepared with water, good hiking shoes, and appropriate lighting. A red headlamp would be ideal to keep both hands free and avoid interfering with our night vision. Also, I highly recommend bug spray and first aid. The world is a dangerous place, after all. We will head out on our hike at the conclusion of the event, which will be a little before sunset. We will hike the white and blue trails and return to the posted coordinates, which is the North Shores Trailhead. This parking lot is outside the Clinton Lake State Park vehicle fee area. The gate to this area closes at 10 PM, which should give us plenty of time for our hike.
In the event of uncooperative weather, I will make appropriate announcements. I will be inclined to proceed with hosting the event and perhaps shortening or redirecting the hike if necessary.
