Geocache Description:

The Langfords, the quiet, unassuming cul-de-sac just around the corner, has a fascinating history. You would never know, standing here now, that this was once a tree-lined entrance leading to one of King Henry VIII & Anne Boleyn's favourite spots... a hunting lodge known as Potelles. The lodge was also known as King's Place and Langfords, and dates all the way back to 1360 when it was purchased by Edward III! It passed through many owners and families over the years, until finally it was sold to the National Freehold Land Society in 1853. Sadly, the manor home was demolished in 1927.

The cache:

The trees, orchards and kitchen garden of the manor house are long gone now, and the road is very much part of an urban landscape. The cache you are looking for reflects this. There is space in the cache for some small trinkets, unlike many of the others in the area. It's a very busy road so please beware of muggles!
