Geocache Description:

Born on May 9, 1924, Judge Gordon Thompson served Williston wearing many hats. He left a legacy of planting an maintaining 10,000 trees and working to preserve the Little Muddy River and nearby Fort Union and Fort Buford. As a judge, he was known to make friends with those he incarcerated, maintaining a level of respect between one another only a judge with great integrity could. On the day this geocache was placed (May 9, 2024) Gordon Thompson would have been 100 years old.
