Everyone who has been Geocaching in NE Ohio for a while is familiar with the 50 Cent Colonel series of caches. The 50 Cent Colonel geocache name is a play on the location where these caches are hidden.
A Buck Sergeant is the nickname of the first sergeant rank (not to be confused with the rank of First Sergeant) of the Non-Commisioned Officer Corps—the Backbone of the Army!! All colonels know the Army's mission can't be accomplished without their trusty and well-seasoned sergeants.

Sergeant (Buck Sergeant)
Staff Sergeant
Sergeant First Class (Platoon Sergeant)
Master Sergeant (First Sergeant if it has a diamond)
Sergeant Major / Command Sergeant Major (the Command Sergeant Major has a wreath around the Sergeant Major star)
