Again the calendar has rolled around and it's time for a visit to the grandkids in Manhasset! For the last few years, whenever I travel out of state (Washington), I'm hosting an Event to meet and greet local cachers and learn more about the area. That includes getting ideas which caches I should target while visiting - in particular recently published ones that would be great for kids (gadgets, etc.)!
My geocaching time is limited on these visits to the early to mid mornings when Mrs. Scary arises from her slumbers and the grandkids are ready to play after their early morning routine.
I've also used these Events to begin the divestiture of my Collection of Geocoins and other TB's to those who would like to just move them along or to place in their own Collections. I also sometimes have dupes of Lackey coins to offer up. Those folks do love Events and passing out their coins!
I'm looking forward to meeting up again with the folks who have attended my previous Events in the area as well as a few others whom I haven't yet met.
