geojim2516: It’s never easy saying goodbye to a cache, but sadly, it’s time for this one to go.
Appin Road started as a simple roadside hide — nothing fancy, just something to break up the drive and offer a quick stop for fellow geocachers. But over time, it seems the world around it has changed. With ongoing roadworks and more eyes on the area, it’s no longer the quiet little spot it once was.
Recently, a cacher was questioned about what kind of drug deal was going on, as someone nearby mentioned “we see people over here all the time.” It’s disheartening to hear that our fun little hobby of geocaching could be misunderstood.
So, with a bit of a heavy heart, I’m choosing to archive it. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and signed the log
