Geocache Description:

Pardon the decrepit condition of the Entrance, as Funds are scarce.  The small Section called the LOOP BOARDWALK, which had connected to the long South Boadwalk, has been demolished.

This Series is a Standard Two-Stage Multi.

Underneath the Wildlife Placard at the First Stage you will find the Coordinartes for the Second (Final) Stage.

The Final Stage 2 is located less than a Mile north of the next Exit Westbound (Route MS-63), just off of the MS-63 Northbound Lanes.

The Trail is only accessible from the I-10 Welcome Station.  The "Loop Boardwalk" has been demolished, the other Boardwalks have been rebuilt.

I have provided a Waypoint for the Trailhead where Parking is available. Hours are from Sunrise to Sunset.

The Estawa Trail, part of the Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge, has reopened.  It's main attaction, the "Loop Boardwalk", which deviated from the "Swamp Boardwalk" and ventured into the Swamp, is mostly demolished and prbably closed for good.

New Signage has been installed, along with new Benches (but without Shade Canopies) and the Lookout has been rebuilt and includes a Bench (which is usually shaded by Trees).

Short sections of Boardwalk have been installed where the Trail has drainage and washout problems.  A final short Section still needs past the Lookout where drainage is a probelm.

The Trail is Gravel on top of River Stones.  This is not a Trail for Barefoot Hikers.
