International Fairy Day is celebrated every year on June 24. The idea behind the day is to appreciate and uplift the celebration of mythical creatures such as fairies and to use their tales to teach valuable lessons to the children. The concept of having a utopia where there are fairies and mythical creatures and that anything can happen drives the children to aim for the things that are considered impossible by the current systems, with the confidence that they can do it. So in demonstrating the belief that fairies exist, we celebrate International Fairy Day.
Today is International Fairy Day, and in the interests of supporting this day it would be nice to share around some treats. Fairy bread and fairy cakes are welcomed, bought or homemade, all is welcomed and optional!
Grab a chair, meet some players and have a few laughs.
I have been asked if we can make this a puzzle night. A night on how to solve puzzles and the steps each person takes when looking at a particular puzzle. There will be more to come on the format for this might.
Chermside Library is located at 375 Hamilton Road. The entrance to the rooms is to the left of the library entrance and parking is available.
Please Remember
- We are in room 2 and our booking time is 6.30pm - 9.00pm. You are welcome to come and go during that time as you please.
- There is a booking prior to ours, in the same room, so no need to arrive any earlier than 6.15pm.
- There is now a key pad entry system that allows us into the room from the front door and the hallway doors.
- If the foyer doors are locked a code of 4226 and the green tick will get you in. Just press in the code and press the green tick button afterwards. If you still have issues please call me.
- The kitchenette is still available.
- PLEASE REMEMBER. The car park under the building closes at 8pm and is security locked, you will have a 30 minute buffer to get cars out.
