Come enjoy a picnic dinner and fellowship
with other geocachers from the Arkansas River Valley area.
Some of the following is true, and some is not.
Your challenge is to figure out which is which.

"The World's Longest Running Annual Geocaching Event!"
What?
Nothing fancy! Just a chance to meet other geocachers from the Arkansas River Valley area (and elsewhere!) and discuss geocaching while enjoying a meal. And then, practice your moves and join the competition!
Where?
The event is in the backyard of the igloo owned by rklmbl, located at 202 S. Grandview, Clarksville, on the corner of Grandview and Mann. (See the coordinates above). Best parking is on the grass on the east side of the yard facing the fence.
Although some chairs will be available, it is recommended that you bring your own lawn or camp chair, in case it is needed.
When?
Saturday, August 17, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM or so.
Your host:
Old River Runner
Regarding the food, this will be a pot-luck style weenie picnic. Contribution of any food items, as listed below, is welcomed. However, bringing food or any of the items listed below is not a requirement for attending. It is all voluntary. But each attendee will be responsible for providing his or her own drink. I will probably grill the weenies at home and bring them to the event burnt and ready to eat. (I hope you like your weenies burnt!)
For this to be a success and have no one go hungry, we all need to pitch in and bring something. Here is a list of some things that we might or will need. Feel free to suggest other items. Also, please note in your "Will Attend" log what you are volunteering to bring. But be sure to check the list to see what others are bringing, so there isn't duplication on some things. (I will try to keep the list updated as folks post their Will Attend logs.). Again, this is all voluntary!

The Featured Event Activity
Regarding the Snow Angel Making, if you are interested in competing, please note the following:
- You may make your snow angel at the event OR you may make and submit a video within 1 month of the event showing you making a snow angel.
- All snow angels must be made in actual snow. BUT, if there is no snow, one must make the snow angel in a bed of poison ivy.
- All participants must wear swimsuits when making their snow angels. No cutoffs allowed. No excuses and no exceptions.
- A registration fee of 100 USD is required from each participant to offset judging fees and the event host’s vacation to Antarctica.
- A minimum of 10 participants must register no later than 5 days prior to the event (August 12), including payment in full of the registration fee, or the competition will have to be cancelled. Sorry, but no refunds!
- Also, each participant will also be responsible for his or her own insurance. The event host is not responsible for any participants who might suffer from frost bite, hypothermia, heat stroke, itching, lyme disease, rabies, or any other ailment or injury, real or imagined, resulting from this activity.
- Each snow angel will be judged on its uniqueness, creativity, and any other subjective criteria decided upon on the day of the event by the judges.
- The judges will be the event host plus any event attendees who are bored and have nothing better to do. If there are enough other judges (at least one), the event host may excuse himself from judging but retains the right to all registration proceeds.
- The winner will be awarded an all expenses paid (not to exceed 2 USD) trip to Moscow (AR) in December this year to celebrate the December Solstice. (Winner will be responsible for transportation and lodging expenses. I recommend the Moscow Four Seasons Hotel.)
