I have had the opportunity to introduce some members of the LE Phillips Senior Center to geocaching while on Senior Center group hikes in the area parks. This has created interest in learning more about geocaching. To further this interest, the LE Phillips Senior Center staff have given permission to place a geocache on their property.
This is a simple cache to help newer cachers have a successful and fun find. It is a LPC cache (aka: Lamp Post Cache or Skirt Lifter). Please be gentle with the lamp post skirt and make sure to replace the cache so the skirt is set on its base. You might have to put the cache back at bit of an angle for it to seat properly. This is a small cache with room for a couple small trade items. Please limit your search to daylight hours and be respectful of the property.
The Senior Center provides various activities and events to their members. You need to be over 50 years old to join. You don't need to be a member to find this cache. It is not near the building.
Please use the street parking or the further away parking in the lot to the west of the building, so those with mobility issues have parking in the lot near the building.
