Geocachers Assemble! A Community Celebration Event Community Celebration Event

Evil is afoot and we need a band of unconventional heroes to stop it.  In an irresistable voice, the word goes out: "Geocachers!  Assemble!"

For the most part, this will be a simple meet and greet event.  However, for those willing to partake of an optional task, there may be prizes.  What I am proposing is a photo scavenger hunt for things that are related to the Avengers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).  I'd open it up to the comics, but just about every hero in the Marvel Comics universe has been a member.  I want to keep things somewhat limited.

The rules are thus:

1. There will be a total list of 20 Avengers characters (more or less).  The full list will be released by the beginning of September, but I plan on releasing it in installments to make it somewhat manageable.
2. The list is the list - no extra credit, no extra characters.  If they're not in the list, you won't get points for them.
3. Take a picture of something relating to as many of the characters as you can
4. One picture per character please and one character per picture
5. Photos will be judged for cleverness, uniqueness, and originality
6. 0 points will be awarded for no picture, 1 point for a simple, unimaginative picture, all the way up to 5 points for something really unique and clever.  Therefore, the total possible score (which I challenge anyone to get close to) is 100 points.
7. This is a family-friendly event, so keep the pictures clean
8. Mr. GO Geiger will be one of the impartial judges.  There may be others.  All decisions are final, no returns or exchanges allowed
9. Print out your photos and bring them to the event or have them in the gallery of your phone, tablet, or laptop, ready to show the judges.  No email, no FaceBook or InstaTok or whatever.  (Heck, use a digital camera, if you want to, just have the pictures at the event, printed out or on the device.)

Examples of various levels of creativity and uniqueness and the points that could be awarded.

• No picture = 0 points (that's easy)
• A picture of the character taken off of a TV, phone, computer, or movie screen = probably only 1 point
• A picture of you holding an action figure of the character = probably 2 or 3 points
• A picture of something that creatively represents the character = at least 3 points
• A picture of you, in person, with the actor dressed up as their character = priceless (and probably worth 4 or 5 points, especially if you get me their autograph)

As I said before, there may be prizes.  There may also be food.
