In May 2014 I said I was done with geocaching, having achieved my golden black belt. Except that I wasn't done with geocaching.
And today I am done with geocaching, as I will have every feasible dot-day and will be celebrating today's last size other with a find on one of my own caches! (Actually not true - I do have one last dot-day, a size regular dot-day, in just a few days.) But, maybe I am still not done with geocaching...
So this celebration is about achieving your milestones. What have you done? Where have you been? Come and skite about it. I know some people have just hit major milestones. Some went overseas and found over 1000 caches during that one trip. Some have completed their calendars or their jasmers. Some have found that cache there. Some have just placed their first hide.
Whatever it is, come to Abandoned and celebrate your achievements!
Menu available here. Please post how many will be dining.
On another note - in three days it is Talk Like a Pirate Day. Bring your best Arrr!
And in 10 days it is Stanislav Petrov Day - celebrating that someone disobeyed orders which directly caused World War III to not start. That guy deserves a statue! Look him up!
About the pub:
Abandoned is about as anarchist as they come. Do not worry about your finery - ripped jeans, stained shirts and jandals is about as posh as it gets! I mean, really, just check out their website!
