Welcome to the Island! This is the perfect spot to take in views of the Credit whilst enjoying the environment here - just bring something to cross the waters! This is not your ol' regular park-n-grab geocaching event, and it'll be a bit testy depending on your access or transportation to get here, especially if the weather is uncooperative ahead of this event. This is a paddle friendly event if you so choose, just be aware of any weather warnings ahead of time.
While it has been some time since I really enjoyed this spot, I've come to value these riverside locations while caching. This island looks out toward a (more naturalized) section of the valley on the left side, and a section of the Riverwood Conservancy on the east side, and is a pretty peaceful place in the midst of the Credit. This isn't a very difficult crossing, though there's different ways and more arduous directions in approaching this island. The Credit Valley is home to a great deal of wildlife despite being a fairly urbanized watershed, and is home to quite a few remarkable places for outings or geocache trips.
