Join us for a sunrise celebration at Long Ridge Lookout.
Expect plenty of kangaroos at dawn, sweeping views, guaranteed wildlife—and of course, the rising sun.
Official sunrise is at 0555, but first light begins around 0525.
Getting to GZ is simple: you can walk or ride a bike, but you must stay on marked tracks at all times.
Important: The Cleland car park gate is locked until sunrise or later. Do not plan to use the Cleland car park.
Parking is available on Waterfall Gully Road, with access via Chambers Gully Track or the Winter Track. Cyclists can also use the Winter Track or approach from several other directions.
You may also park at the Mount Lofty car park and walk in from there. This route is relatively flat, but it is over 5 km each way.
Whichever route you chose ensure you allow enough time to arrive for sunrise.
